Stratamed can be used immediately after surgical procedures, trauma, skin resurfacing, burns* and radiation therapy.

Stratamed supports the healing process of the skin, which leads to a decreased incidence of abnormal scarring and the best possible therapeutic result.

Stratamed extends the area of application of silicone based scar prevention and treatment because it can be applied to non epithelialized wounds (open wounds) and areas where skin integrity has been compromised. For example, Stratamed can be used directly on fresh wounds or burns* under a secondary protective dressing or immediately after dermabrasion, laser treatment or cryosurgery**.

Stratamed can also be used in conjunction with invasive scar management options to improve overall results, including surgical excisions, or intralesional steroid injections. [12]
